During one of our family outreach visits, we met a widow whose living conditions broke our hearts. She was staying in a collapsing mud house, one that didn’t even belong to her. The roof leaked whenever it rained, the walls were crumbling, and every night she slept with fear, uncertainty, and no hope of a safer shelter.
Moved with compassion, our organisation, Divine Presence Family Support Centre, stepped in. By God’s grace and with the support of kind-hearted people, we began the journey of giving her back her dignity.
What stood before her as a fragile mud structure has now been replaced with a solid, comfortable three-bedroom bungalow built especially for her. And on December 19, 2023, she walked into her new home, safe, joyful, and overwhelmed with gratitude.
For her, it was more than a house.
For us, it was a testimony of God’s love in action.
